(If you’re looking for the Giveaway post click here.) So, I’ve been thinking about this quilt for awhile and I finally got started on it. I bought an Echino panel from The Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica and I wanted to highlight the panel when I used it. So I decided not to cut…

So, it’s been a busy last couple of weeks and disappointingly I haven’t been able to work on my quilts much. As a result – I haven’t been able to blog at all. First it was a week long trip to San Francisco for work. Then it was Thanksgiving and a 3-day weekend cruise to…

Haha! Great minds think alike – I’m actually planning on making the backing a hot pink! I already have the fabric purchased. Unfortunately, he tries to steal all my quilt so I don’t think this will deter him!
I’d love to see this when you finish. Not that you are asking, but if it were me I would bind it in pink. It would look amazing plus your boyfriend might be deterred from stealing it!
I like it.
Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL! I like the name too!! I am “holding on to summer” as well.
Thanks everyone! Ivy – yes I thought of this fabric when I saw your quilt! Alissa – I do plan on bringing my WIP! Leslie – thanks for the compliments! Chancy – thanks!
That quilt is looking so great! I love the modern color combo.
this is fantastic. i love this line of fabric. you make such amazing quilts
Oh it’s looking so good!! maybe you can get the blocks sewn together this weekend and bring it for show & tell??
I love the way the grey works in this. I had thought about sashing my yellow-and-black Mod Sampler with grey, but I couldn’t pull it off. Yours looks great here!
So, I always make things for other people. And, very rarely for myself. But, I’m learning how to treat myself at least as good as I treat other people so I decided to make a quilt just for me. I have a few of the quilts that I’ve made but, they were usually an experiment…

Laurel, thanks so much! Yes, I’ve only been blogging about a month. . . I’m not quite consistent with it yet but, I’ll get better.
Love this FQ bundle; I’m sure it will make a great quilt.
You’ve been blogging about a month? Wow; you’re doing just fine, and with some great quilts! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! I added a few more pieces to my stack and I have it all sketched out. Now, I’m ready to go!
Saw your gorgeous quilts over on the Modern Quilt Guild page at Flickr. They are fantastic, specially the circle quilt
The new colours for your quilt are great. I have a similar (smaller) stack that I’m trying to decide on a pattern for. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks Cheryl! I need to finish this one too. The glue was a bit finicky but, so worth it! I found that once you get the hang of it – it gets a lot easier.
I really like the way your front and back work together.
Re: different shapes for Dale Fleming circles. My usual circle technique is an applique, but I wanted to try the Dale Fleming technique. But I wanted ovals. I was impressed withe results, even though I found using glue a bit finicky. So these wonky shapes are very appealing to me!
Thanks Leslie! I love experimenting with all the ideas I come up with. I can’t wait to see this one finished.
i love this…you make such beautiful things. i love the wonky circles on circles. thanks for coming to my bog, saying hello and entering the giveaway. good luck
