Play Around the World Quilt

I sorta have a crush on everything that Sarah Jane does. Everything. And, when she had her first line of fabric, I wanted every SKU of it. It is filled with true multicultural children, not just children with different complexions.  And these kids all live in a magical world of individuality and whimsy. Love it. […]

Wow, this is so beautiful! I’ve always loved that line and still have treasured pieces of it. Those curves are amazing, I love how you’ve repeated them throughout the quilt. And now I’m off to google 6 minute circle!!

Nicole - July 1, 2014 - 1:02 pm

That is just brilliant. So well designed. Well done.

Jenn @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge - July 1, 2014 - 4:56 am

What an amazing quilt. I would never have thought of using that great print in that way. And Six Minute Circles? I’ll be googling that as soon as I finish my comment! :)

Cat - July 1, 2014 - 4:36 am

It’s truly gorgeous, I love it! I love how the child at the front of the parade-line looks to be stepping onto the curve, it’s just so perfect and fun. Your highlight colours are just perfect too – sweet and girly without being over-the-top girly. I love that balloon girl and rabbit print on the back too, I have that in my stash! Your label on the back is such a great idea. I’m going to google the six minute circle too. Thanks so much for sharing. Cat.

Laurelle C - July 1, 2014 - 3:48 am

Wow. Gorgeous quilt. Those curves look amazing. I am off to google six minute circle as I have not heard of that before. Thanks for sharing :)

The White Stripes Quilt

This quilt is definitely in the “quilts I haven’t blogged about” category. At my last job my co-worker Jean and his wife had a baby boy. Not knowing the mom and wanting to create a quilt that was simple and classic I decided on stripes. Not finding the stripes that I wanted, I decided to […]

I love the quilt, quilting and the ball! I’m playing catch-up on your blog right now, I should get some work done while no one is awake!

Tina in Boston - November 19, 2013 - 4:04 pm

The stripes are so precise and the white is refreshing! It’s also got a preppy feel that I love. I really like your label, too!

Lynda M Otvos - November 16, 2013 - 7:46 pm

Love it, and the stripes are super. You have a great pattern here. Not that i follow patterns but you get what I mean, lots of people do. This truly is a very neat quilt and the diagonal quilting makes it perfect. Jolly well done.

Mary - November 16, 2013 - 6:07 pm

I love the idea of making your own stripes. Lucky baby. Really fun ball.

Stephanie hicks - November 16, 2013 - 2:10 pm

Animal Parade Blanket & Softie Set

Yesterday I shared the Zoom Baby Blanket and Book that I made for one cousin that had a little boy. Well, her sister had a baby boy within a few months so I had to make a similar gift for her as well. This time, I pulled my Ed Emberley fabric out. I LOVE the […]

Latifah - September 17, 2013 - 1:37 pm

Minky isn’t difficult to sew at all! The only suggestion I give is to pin a ton. :) It will help it to stabilize it. Thanks for posting.

Kristin S. - September 13, 2013 - 8:28 am

Wow! That is really terrific looking!! Was the minky tough to stitch with?

Zoom Blanket & Book Set

I have two cousins who are sisters who had baby boys within months of each other. I love to make quilts but, sometimes don’t have the time to make them for gifts but, people expect handmade gifts when you sew. So, I decided to make quickie blankets and toys for both of them. I had […]

terry hawkins - September 12, 2013 - 7:18 pm

What a great cousin you are to make such cute and practical gifts! I love the blanket but the book is sooo unique! How do you print directly onto fabric? I assume you use a special printer and special ink?

Shhh. . . Baby Quilt and Ball

OK. This will be one of the many quilts that I’ll be posting about that I’ve made in the last year or so. This one was a quickie. Well, sorta. Last year the LA Modern Quilt Guild was lucky enough to host Elizabeth Hartman of the blog Oh, Fransson! I don’t take many classes but, […]
