I am modern quilter.
I am a Pisces (who doesn’t know how to swim).
I learned how to sew when I was six and took it up ‘seriously’ at twelve.
I passionately believe that beauty is the birthright of every human and that beauty should be all around us.
I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
I approach quilt design like an engineer.
I love to swing dance so much that I feel like I’m dancing at the feet of the gods when I dance.
I love Indian food. (Can you say Saag Lamb?)
I can watch Law & Order any day of the week.
I hated the color green until about five years ago; now I its my favorite color.
I find green more and more often in my quilts.
I love Blue Bell Cookies and Cream ice-cream and country music from the 90’s.
I love the mountains.
I learned how to fly before I learned how to drive.
I love to quilt.
After many months of very little quilting, I’ve been cranking out quite a few quilt tops that have been floating around in my head. This is one of them. I’m so happy to be back to quilting too! This one is called Stairway to Heaven. Now, I don’t even know if I fully believe in...
I absolutely LOVE it!! I love how colorful and linear it is. Makes my creative heart sing. 
I saw something vaguely similar in one of the Gee’s Bend books, and sketched out a plan for one of my own. I love how your steps are so skinny!

Lynette, it was a big log cabin! Half way through it I started to count down the number of strips till the end. Thankfully I included some of my favorite “have to include” colors towards the end.

No way! I’ve had the fabric pulled for a square version of the same concept for months now. Pretty sure yours is cooler than mine could be.

The Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild had a potholder swap for our December Holiday Gift Exchange. At first I wasn’t extremely excited but, when it came down to it I had an absolute blast. There was a problem though. We had to design ONE potholder.
