Squeezing in a little quilting!

So, it’s been a busy last couple of weeks and disappointingly I haven’t been able to work on my quilts much. As a result – I haven’t been able to blog at all. First it was a  week long trip to San Francisco for work. Then it was Thanksgiving and a 3-day weekend cruise to…

Haha! Great minds think alike – I’m actually planning on making the backing a hot pink! I already have the fabric purchased. Unfortunately, he tries to steal all my quilt so I don’t think this will deter him! :-)

I’d love to see this when you finish. Not that you are asking, but if it were me I would bind it in pink. It would look amazing plus your boyfriend might be deterred from stealing it!

I love the way the grey works in this. I had thought about sashing my yellow-and-black Mod Sampler with grey, but I couldn’t pull it off. Yours looks great here!

Flora & Fauna

So, I’m realizing that there’s something about me and black in quilts. Even when I do baby quilts – they tend to have  a little black in them (or a lot). It’s not intentional. I guess that’s just what I’m drawn to. Especially when it is paired with bright rich contrasting colors. Ooooh!  So, I…

Hello Erin, I don’t think I’ve seen the Botany line yet. I’ll have to look it up! What I like so much about Flora & Fauna is that it is so bright and engaging. I LOVE bright and engaging.

Ha ha! See, I don’t look at fabric around my boyfriend – let alone respond with joy. ;-) I also go fabric shopping alone. ;-) And sometimes have to sneak the fabric in the house. So, I completely understand!

this flora and fauna is amazing. i gasped, and then giggled. my husband was sitting nearby and saw what i was looking at and shook his head, then told me not to buy anymore fabric. but i can not help it.

I adore these – reminds me of the new Botany line from… um… that mother/daughter team whose names escape me at the moment. :D

That’s awesome Kris! Thanks so much for letting me know. Oh, and I love the Jungle Quilt on your blog!

I’m excited about that line too! I think Hawthorne Fabrics already has it in if you want to buy some and they have great prices!
